A Shrine to Rufus Shinra

Is Rufus really a villain? How bad is he? Throughout the game the only bad thing he tried to do was kill Barret and Tifa, and that was mostly Scarlet's doing anyway--you can tell. The main characters don't know much about him, and you don't find out much about him throughout the game. Not before WEAPON blows him up anyway. *sniff*

So...who is the real Rufus Shinra? He's a cold guy, most likely because he had a bad childhood. He had been sent somewhere else for a long time, and he apparently didn't love his father all that much, considering that he didn't give a flying rat's ass when Sephiroth made a preisdent-kabob out of him. Is Rufus screwed up emotionally? Yes. Is he highly motivated? Yes. Is he a pretty boy? Hell yes. Is he evil? Eh, that can be debated.

I loooooooooove Rufus. He's awesome! I love how he grabs his helicopter and escapes from battle. He can shoot his shotgun with ONE HAND. I also love that thing he does with his hair. What's not to like?

Is there any way in hell Rufus could have lived following FF7? It's been speculated in many fanfics that he could have. (Including one I wrote ^^;;) Anything's possible, but then again, I think Tseng lives too. But that's another topic.
