Yes, Vincent has a million and one shrines to him. But, hey, why not? Vincent's such a great character. He's a sweet guy who got screwed around in the past. The woman he was in love with went off with *Hojo* (Hojo, people!), then he just got *shot* for sticking up for what he believed in, and he got screwed up by Hojo--he had a claw put on him, and now he can change into strange creatures if he gets pissed off enough. Then he got stuck in a coffin, wallowing in his own self-pity for g-d knows how many years, paying for all the bad stuff he thought he did, when in the meantime, the only bad person was *Hojo*! (*mutters* evil bastard). So, POOR VINCENT!!! *huff puff*
Eh heh, anyway, I get pretty worked up talking about Vincent. I liked Vincent ever since I opened up the instruction booklet. I was flipping though, looking at the characters, and I spotted Vincent. I instantly thought Vincent Valentine was like the coolest name ever, and he looked pretty cute too. ^^ (It never hurts to be cute!) Vincent was the only characters name I didn't change my first time through FF7 since I liked it so much. And I willingly was slaughtered by Lost Number fifty bazillion times my first time playing because I had to beat him to get Vincent. Once Vincent enters my party, he never leaves it for the rest of the game.
And even though some people think this, Vincent is not *repeat* NOT Sephiroth's father!! *grabs head and shakes like cloud* How wrong would that be?? *shudders* Vincent, however, was a Turk, which makes him *extra* cool, because, to put it simply, Turks ROCK!
Oh, and lastly, I do NOT hold the theory that Vincent is a vampire. I don't think he really got to chose that coffin. Hojo just shoved him in there, and he stayed cause he was LOCKED IN! And besides, he was sad anyway, and felt he had to pay for all the wrong things he *didn't* do. Almost every piece of fan art drawn of Vincent shows him covered in blood. Wasn't he happy for at least a *second* in his life!! And at he really doesn't go walking around covered in blood all day, people. That would just be sick.
